Meet The Crew

Founder & Head Chef
Cal
Crewneck Chef was built on a simple idea: to bring restaurant-quality food and genuine southern hospitality into people's homes.

My culinary roots began in North East England but shaped in award-winning kitchens, community-serving farms and the now the homes of North Carolina.

Originally from North East England, my cooking has been shaped by experience in professional kitchens, including James Beard-recognized restaurants, and a passion for the food cultures of France, Italy, Spain, and the Mediterranean.
My style has often been described as elevated casual—beautiful, ingredient-led dishes that feel refined without ever being pretentious.

Today, I lead the Crewneck Chef team, creating bespoke private dining experiences, in-home cooking classes, and weekly meal prep throughout the Triangle. Whether it's an intimate proposal, a family celebration, or a corporate dinner, the focus is always the same: seasonal ingredients, thoughtful hospitality, and memorable food that brings people together.

Chef
Abi
Chef Abi discovered her love for cooking in her grandmother's kitchen, where countless hours spent baking and cooking together sparked a passion that led her to pursue a career as a chef.

After training at the Institute of Culinary Education, Abi went on to work under James Beard Award-winning chef Ashley Christensen, in a Michelin Guide Recommended restaurant, and as a chef at the 2026 Masters Tournament.
Those experiences shaped her refined technique, attention to detail, and belief that exceptional hospitality is just as important as exceptional food.

As part of the Crewneck Chef team, Abi creates bespoke private dining experiences, in-home cooking classes, and weekly meal prep services throughout the Triangle. Her cooking celebrates North Carolina's seasonal ingredients while blending refined technique with bold, approachable flavors to create meals that feel elevated, welcoming, and memorable.
